I love working with animals and giving back some of their unconditional love is an amazing feeling. If you have the time to spare I would highly recommend taking Amy Herzlich's Animal Massage and Care courses. She is an amazing woman with over 20 years in body work!
From large animals to Dolphins to Snakes and Birds you learn to see similarities more than the differences.
In practical usage in my life, I have an older female mixed breed that has a real hard time getting up and down. Her back and back legs get so very stiff and without massage would be in constant pain. I was in the habit of massaging her in the evening on my lap which gave here comfort but not until I took the course was I really able to impact her health substantially!
It gives me such pleasure to see her running and jumping around that for that alone the classes were well worth it!
